Washington Division of URS is currently advertising for a Mechanical Engineer specializing in FIRE PROTECTION to be located in Columbia, MD area office.

Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four year accredited college or university.
Experience:
• MUST have passed the Fire Protection Engineering written exam administered by the National Council of Examiners of Engineering and Surveys (NCEES)• 8+ years of professional experience.
• PE - Professional Engineering License REQUIRED
• CADD - AutoCAD Version 2006 or later
• Microstation - Version 8
• Federal Government experience
• Experience working with Unified Facilities Criteria - specifically UFC-03-600
• Proficient with LIFE SAFETY ANALYSIS
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Top Secret with full scope polygraph security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Department of Defense security clearance – Top Secret with SCI and FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH
