Any suggestion on a good reference book to study filters and analyze their circuits that will be helpful for the Morning session on the PE exam. I need a book with good examples and great detail.

thanks

Pete

This is a good reference for op amp circuits, including some filters-

All the books I know on filters are way overkill for the AM. IMHO, if you know nodal analysis, and the golden rules for ideal op amps, along with enough algebra to manipulate transfer functions, you should be okay.

The rule of thumb I give for the AM section is.. the basics with a twist. Have a solid understanding of the basics and know what you are looking at. There are not usally many multi-stagged things, and if there are, the question will be more a theoretical "word" answer than a number.

Overkill will not help much, the questions are designed to be answered quickly.
