Electrical Engineer (PE) Federal Projects-Norfolk/VA Beach area
-Location is Norfolk/VA Beach area and relocation assistance may be provided for the right "Rock Star." Now, this doesn't mean they are going to rescue you from a severely upside down property.
Our Design & Build client over the last 6 years has grown from $50M to $700M+ in revenue. They primarily work on federal projects both domestic and foreign. They have built up a great reputation by doing great work and keeping their nose clean; you will not find them on the evening news. Unlike other companies they have been experiencing strong growth over the last several years. The international projects has been very strong and continues to grow.
Now they are looking for another Electrical Engineer to add to the team.
WARNING! If you're an Engineer who is a cubicle dweller only, this company is NOT for you. I have been told from insiders that an entrepreneurial spirit is a must at this company. You must have initiative to thrive on their design teams. Plus you must understand that governmental agencies are their only clients, so you need to be able to push the process along without angering the client.
Here is a very basic description of requirements:
Must be able to Guide project managers in the design process and manage A/E firms
Professional Engineer (PE) any state will do but will need to get a VA lic. -This is a MUST
LEED is nice to have but not required
Large institutional or governmental project experience
8+ years of progressive responsibility
2 years as a senior professional with supervisory experience
Design & Build experience is a plus too
Travel: Occasional, you will not be a road warrior. There may be the opportunity for International travel.
All the other details let's discuss on the phone. Send a CV/resume and a project list via email
