this would be a pretty wild find. The bathroom where it was found had a wall calendar dated 1943 and a newspaper dated 1949.

When I was interning at the USACE in Jacksonville I spent a couple months at the area office at Patrick AFB. One of the things they did there was digging up old ordinance on the beaches down in Ft. Pierce, FL. Apparently the military used the beaches there to prep for the Normandy invasion and to this day kids are still uncovering little "surprises" while building sandcastles.
