Battery Characteristics

I was hoping that someone could shed some light on a good review book or something that would help with battery characteristics. I was hoping it would have something to do with sizing batteries based on a partical load for a length of time.

Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful.

Characteristics mainly includes how Voltage, temperature, specific gravity effect the capacity of the battery and its discharge/charge. Do a google search, there is an entire website dedicated to batteries which has good information, although i cannot remember the website now.
