A Turn of the Page for Newsweek

We are announcing this morning an important development at Newsweek and The Daily Beast. Newsweek will transition to an all-digital format in early 2013. As part of this transition, the last print edition in the United States will be our Dec. 31 issue.

Can't say as I'm surprised, seeing their page count halved overnight and the magazine went to an extremely liberal bent.

I'm just glad I didn't take their offer for a year at $20 that they sent me a couple weeks ago,

Aside from the journalism angle, and the length, that is pretty much the letter I wrote to Newsweek in May 2009 regarding why I was letting my subscription lapse after have read their magazine for close to 25 years.

The last print issue of Newsweek is on the stands now. It is so pathetic, I couldn't even justify its purchase as a bit of history.
