I cannot figure out how to find out 101.1 in 8D) Step 2. Please help!
The bottom elevation of the downstream channel is given in the problem as 99 feet. Problem 8B found the depth of flow downstream to be 2.099 feet (2.1 is close enough, eh?). The elevation of the downstream surface is then 99.0ft + 2.1ft = 101ft.
