I too have fallen victim to sugar alcohol in those sugar-free candies. An innocent bag of Life Savers nearly cost me my life from dehydration.

That post reminded me of the guy in college that had a candy bowl full of paintballs sitting on his desk. At least once a week, somebody would come in, grab one, and get a mouthful of paint. It's surprising how often it happened given that 90+% of people in the dorm knew they were paintballs.
