Wow. Logged on for the first time in a couple of years this morning, was not expecting this. So sad. He was a great guy, quick with a joke and always helpful. I remember him giving me great advice when I was planning a trip to NYC years back. I know this is late, but RIP Mat, you'll be missed.

Saturday morning, working. I get to work Sunday too. The extra $ is nice, but I'm looking forward to my vacation starting a week from today.

I'm a contract worker, and have been for years. I know nothing about your area or industry, but that seems like a very small increase for a move away from direct work. Especially considering they want to pay you C2C, which sounds like you'll be responsible for the employer portion of medicare...

I can't play this time. Work is getting super busy (June jubilee in May). Maybe next time.

It depends. Location matters. And do you want to stay in the nuke business? A/E's that do work for the utilities would value the PE, but if you work for the utility directly it won't be valued as much.

I sharpen the blade yearly and check (not change) the oil. Thats it.

I bought a troy built (I think, it was from lowes) about 8 years ago. It has a Honda motor. It was less than $200 and starts on the first or second pull every time, with very little (really no) maintenance.

I'm not going to say its the greatest place on earth or anything, but our local taxes are very reasonable. Just don't expect the state/county to provide a lot of services for you.

We paid 15.35% to the feds, plus SS and Medicare. But we don't have state income tax in TN and our property taxes are only around $1600. Dual income, no kids.

Like others mentioned, I didn't use them. But if I was take one, it would be the Red Book. Honestly, the EERM (or whatever they call it now), NEC handbook, a Power Machines and Electronics book (I can't remember the author), and my Ugly book covered all but one or two questions. That was a few...

Still in there, just moved to 110.28 for the 2011 cycle. They aren't going to test on specific changes, but do expect you to use the 2011 code for 2012 exams. If the 2008->2011 changes are stressing you out, Stallcup's has an illustrated code changes book that can be helpful. Good luck on the...

To each their own, it was just my opinion. I use the code all the time, just never saw the point in the tabs. Good luck on the exam.

I don't have a tabbed book, but like knight1fox3 I've heard good things about Mike Holt's. FWIW, I wouldn't worry about tabs for the exam. For the number of code questions you'll have, if you've used the code at all, the tabs won't really save you that much time.

I figure the Jets wanted Tebow b/c the new OC, Sparano, is the guy that brought the single wing (wildcat) back into pro football. For as "bad" of a pro QB Tebow is, he might be the best guy in the country suited to run that package. I fully expect to see both him and Sanchez sharing time...
