    I also am waiting for word on my CA comity SE application. I mailed my application on June 25, my check was cashed July 7, and I've heard nothing now for 30 days.

    Growth after Structural Engineer (SE) License

    @Anthr_Engr to add, I know many others in Texas, Florida, and New York (non-seismic regions) who are expected to get a SE license.  Most prestigious top-level consulting firms basically require it for career progression.

    @Anthr_Engr I work for a firm in California where a SE is expected.  Everyone in the firm above basic staff engineer has a CA SE license. In my firm, while you will not be fired immediately for not taking SE, your career will stagnate (and you may be the first out the door in the next recession)...

    I took the exams in December and got my passing scores on January 7. It has been 7-1/2 weeks and don't have a license number yet. I've called and left a message with my reviewer once a week the last three weeks.  I've also emailed my reviewer (A-G) once per week the last three weeks. I've tried...
