Used it for my April 2019 MDM exam and passed. You just have to practice with it and all the errors will come up and you can correct it. Think of it as a treasure hunt.

For MDM I studied section 45-60 and I got 91% on it in April (Texas releases the passing score).

I got 91 for MDM. 47/80 is about 59% so if your Texas score is 66% then that means there's a 7% curve? 7% of 80 is about 6 questions dropped from the exam.

91% 😆 I thought I did terrible!

I passed the Machine Design exam with the NCEES ME Reference Manual as my main reference. There are some small mistakes but if you use it to study then you'll find them. It's a nice comprehensive reference material and save you time from preparing your own reference sheet. 

Passed the MDM exam. Thanks for all the help guys, I wouldn't have passed without all the help and resources on this forum.

I definitely got some questions wrong on the AM section that I was able to catch with the extra time I had. I was able to redo each AM question one by one to make sure I didn't make some rushed mistake. I had no such luxury during the PM section however...

It was sent on 6:59am so 5/11/2019+6+59=65. Looks like I got 65/80 and passed!!

Finished AM with a little over an hour left and went back to double check each question. PM was rough for sure.

Got the NCEES survey email this morning as well.

Which is  correct? I'm not sure where the reference manual got the other equation from.

Tried to do the Lindeburg MDM practice exam and couldn't finish the afternoon exam in 4 hours (I don't think it's even possible) and I have done the exam 2 times before. So be careful what you are asking for haha.

Spring Ks factor equation is different than MERM and Kennedy's book. It gets you close enough number though. Makes you wonder which formula NCEES exam makers are using.

For the Johnson's Intermediate columns formula, some references omits the K factor while some references uses K^2 instead of K. I'm confused on which one is the right equation.
