passing SE I and SE II =PE in Hawaii?

I just know that I passed SE I and SE II in HI. I supposed to get a SE license for my hard working. But just found that there is no SE license in HI: it's PE(structural). Is there any way I can register as SE in other states with the exams results?

masonry wall under bending and compression

When checking a bearing wall under lateral bending, why many example book use unity interaction equation: fa/Fa+fb/Fb<=1. rather than (fa+fb)<=(1/3)fm' as specified in 2.3.3.2.2 ACI530-05 for reinforced masonry? I should treat it as unreinforced masonry for a bearing wall? (I do use...

    SE II question

If required in the steel problem"show all the calculation" Does that mean have to calculate the capacity according to the spec. step by step and can't use steel manual tables? I highly doubt it.

    SERM questions

Thank you. That's what I thought. But so far I haven't found the "old" equations in those chapters(such as equations to distinguish plate girder from beams). They completely change the design concept for plate girder or just I didn't find it? I will keep looking. Any thought is appreciated.

    SERM questions

Thank you for the suggestions. I did checked the errata. But so far no errata for that question. Anyway, anybody know which chapter it is for "plate girder" in new 13th edition steel code? The old code has a distinguish chapter for that. But I haven't found it on new code. Thank you.

    SERM questions

    SERM questions

Forgot to mention, I am using third version. Are you using fourth version? on 3rd version: Pa=Pm+Ps=22.66kips+2.37kips(steel)=25kips; si this different to 4th version? Thank you.

    SERM questions

Masonry practice problems #1: in solution, it considers the reinforcement contribution for a bearing wall. Is that right? Since there is no lateral reinforcement, you shouldnt consider vertical reinforcement, right? For a composite construction, when checking the horizontal shear, the "d" in...
