Any Geotech Engineers here can give insights. Which ones do you prefer Terzaghi or Meyerhof theories in bearing capacity calc? and why? I need this for a project Im working it seems, Meyerhof is a little conservative.

I starting studying for SE exams for Oct 2011, now in 246 struct problems book, it seems the solution used is consistent deformation for indeterminate structures. I was wondering if you used a different approach? this method has limitations, what do you suggest? im looking for a quick approach...

What do you think is the cut score for this Oct 2010 PE Civil Struc/Const/Geo/Transpo, based on what you feel during the exam and the difficulty?

i tried solving problems in RC, steel from NCEEs sample questions, it seems it will took me more than 6 mins for Struc depth specially if it is code dependent, I dont think this isnt right. Let me know what your think guys for those who took it already?

In the NCEES sample Civil PE AM it requires HCM, and Hrydraulics book manual. I dont have them cuz I will be writing Struc PM. So do we need these books in PE Civil AM? anybody?

Any ideas? I took FE 4 times now, I failed my diagnostics says AM=44% PM=55%...I took Civil Discipline, after this 4th attempt I consider myself dumb! I will try again.
