I got my Iowa PE results via the NCEES website today. I passed!!! Woohooo!!!!!!

I was staying reasonably comfortable with this waiting for results so far. Then all of a sudden the last couple of days have been tough! Now that we're halfway there, I just want my damned results!

I know we've got quite a while to wait before anyone has their results from the October exam, but I thought we could do a quick roll call to remind ourselves that we aren't waiting alone. I took the Civil PE (Geotech depth) and now I'm waiting impatiently in Iowa. How about you?

If you tell us what you for work, we could probably give you a better answer.

Yeah, these posts are far less funny when they show up in December rather than November.

Can't say that I've been feeling that. I hated all the studying and all the time it kept me away from my family and friends. I don't miss it one bit!

I've got Thank You cards for my references just waiting to be written. But they are leftover from my wedding, so I can't say that I bought them because I was confident about my exam results. :)

About half of the people at my test site left the morning session 30 minutes early. Most people stayed until the end for the afternoon session.

It shouldn't even be that difficult to complain. I got an email asking me to take a survey about my exam site. They asked about the lighting, noise, proctor professionalism, etc. Luckily I didn't have anything to complain about.

I took the Civil/Geotechnical exam for the first time. I feel pretty good about it. The morning was easier than I was expecting, and I was feeling very confident at the lunch break. The afternoon was much more difficult, but I still feel like I did well enough to pass. Won't know for sure...

I got an email from the Iowa Licensing Board to let me know that they've recieved my application and that I've included all of the necessary items. I'm supposed to find out in February if I'm approved to sit for the exam or not. As of the application deadline, I have 3.9 years of professional...

I don't know about Florida, but in Iowa they say that we'll get exam approvals by February 15th.

Wow, that's a really long wait. I'll be taking the PE in Iowa this April. I guess I should start mentally preparing myself for an especially excruciating wait. Best of luck to everyone that's still waiting!

I work for a geotechnical engineering firm. My boss once asked, "Who tracked all of this soil in here?" And our accountant replied, "It might be soil out there, but when it ends up on our carpet, it's called dirt."

Just put my application in the mail today. I guess I'll actually have to go through with it now... :wacko:

My application process is going well so far. I've finished filling out the forms, described my work experience, written my project statement, and sent my references the form that they need to fill out. I actually received one of my references back today! Now I'm just waiting on my last 4...
