    I agree ... Power Systems Analysis (Grainger & Stevenson) is the best when it comes to transmission line theory. I used it on the EE Power exam and it was very useful.

    If you are taking the EE exam this is definitely not true. It is a must to have a calculator that can handle imaginary numbers and polar coordinates!

    Advice for the April 2010 exam

    I passed the Electrical Power PE in October 2009. I can't imagine taking only the PPI EERM with me to the exam (though I did take this with me). I must agree with SparksFlying. The NEC 2008 is essential as is a good motor/generator/transformer reference. I would also recommend the following...
