    SE II Results

Here's a question I have been pondering: if you are registered in a SE state, is it proper to use the title "SE" behind your name.....even if your base state (i.e. your residency) is a non-SE state? I've noticed that a lot of guys who are in that situation just use "MLSE" in addition to PE...

I'm a(n) east coast guy....so I'm just going to let the SE III go. Raise? Heck I'm happy to just have a job (I'm barley putting in 35 hours a week). And congrats to you too knelli! I saw where you passed.

I passed! I passed! I passed! I cannot believe this! All I've thought of since that day is everything I did wrong (rather than what went right). It was strange that we were not directly informed by NCEES......I thought we were a direct notification state here in South Carolina. God I cannot...

Has anyone in South Carolina heard anything on the SE II? I'm starting to wonder if I didn't accidently toss out the e-mail (I get so much junk mail it's unreal).

Still haven't heard anything here in S.C. (and we are a direct notification state). Just got to keep hoping here. Day 74 and counting.

Man, I sure am sorry to hear that. I may be back right there with you in the fall. Haven't heard anything in S.C. yet. At least now you can focus on the SE II.

Yeah, I'd be gassed after two straight days myself.....just one morning session is enough for me. So would you say (in your previous attempts) that you got a "high performance" in 2 out of the 4 areas or have you done better than that?

Maybe this is it for you. Let me ask you something about your diagnostic: on your other attempts [at the SE II] how many areas did you get "High Performance" on? On my first attempt it was 2 out of 4.......naturally I'm trying to guess where the cut score is.

Oh well....at least it isn't in time to ruin our weekend......although it may be here in time to ruin our 4th of July. "All we need is just a little patience....."

Nothing here in South Carolina either. I was notified via e-mail last time (directly from NCEES).

Yep. my fingers are crossed too. So how many times have you tried the SE II? (I'm a little confused because you said you have taken them both at the same time and it was 4 attempts to get the SE I, but earlier you said you were on your 3rd attempt with the SE II.) If I don't make it this...

SE Taker.....if you don't mind me asking: you said you were a third timer on the SE II....but earlier you said you took both the SE I&II this past April......was this your third time with BOTH exams? The reason I ask is: I'm just trying get a feel for how many attempts it is for others...

Interesting. Did you mention what state you took it in? (I wonder if that is for your particular state.) It took me about 59 days to get results (last time) in S.C. I wonder if there was some irregularity with the exam....I sent in a few comment forms on a couple things I noticed.....so maybe...

Good luck to you as well. The thing I could really kick myself for is not trying the SE II sooner (of course, living in the Southeast, it's really not a big deal....just thought I'd add that MLSE to my NCEES record before the opportunity went away).

I thought the SE I was brutal. I passed it [finally] in 2006 (it was multiple attempts; so far, I'm on my second attempt with the SE II). Each time I've taken the SE II, I've found it easier than the SE I. (Of course, with both of them: finishing is the biggest hurdle.) I had thought about...

    SE II Results

I don't live in Texas but: I took it in South Carolina in October 2009 and I got the results about a week after everyone else got their PE results. We are one of the early states: it was about 59 days after the exam that I found out (with a e-mail directly from NCEES). I didn't make it, so I...

    Structural II Exam/ Licensure

Yeah, that sounds right. I've got a MS so that won't be a problem. (In fact, I probably had that under my BS because when I graduated it was 140+ semester hours to get it; and I took even some free electives in structural design.)

    Structural II Exam/ Licensure

I recently took the SE II, and I thought if I passed I might add Illinois. I'm almost positive that you don't need to be under an SE to get registered with Illinois [at least for out of state guys]....just 4 years of acceptable structural experience and passing the SE I & II. A buddy of mine...

    SE II: April 2010

Hromis1, I don't know if I'm the guy to give advice on the SE exams because it was multiple tests for me to pass the SE I, and I'm on my second attempt for the SE II. As far as frame analysis goes, I studied Russell Hibbeler's book on this topic (i.e. 'Structural Analysis', 3rd edition) and I...

    SE II: April 2010

I studied about a hundred something hours. I really didn't do a whole lot different other than the fact I hit my weak spots even harder. I feel better about this one than I did about the last one. If I don't get it this time.....we've got just one more try. I should have started taking this...
