Here's a question I have been pondering: if you are registered in a SE state, is it proper to use the title "SE" behind your name.....even if your base state (i.e. your residency) is a non-SE state? I've noticed that a lot of guys who are in that situation just use "MLSE" in addition to PE...

Has anyone in South Carolina heard anything on the SE II? I'm starting to wonder if I didn't accidently toss out the e-mail (I get so much junk mail it's unreal).

Still haven't heard anything here in S.C. (and we are a direct notification state). Just got to keep hoping here. Day 74 and counting.

Man, I sure am sorry to hear that. I may be back right there with you in the fall. Haven't heard anything in S.C. yet. At least now you can focus on the SE II.

Yeah, I'd be gassed after two straight days myself.....just one morning session is enough for me. So would you say (in your previous attempts) that you got a "high performance" in 2 out of the 4 areas or have you done better than that?

Maybe this is it for you. Let me ask you something about your diagnostic: on your other attempts [at the SE II] how many areas did you get "High Performance" on? On my first attempt it was 2 out of 4.......naturally I'm trying to guess where the cut score is.

Oh well....at least it isn't in time to ruin our weekend......although it may be here in time to ruin our 4th of July. "All we need is just a little patience....."

Interesting. Did you mention what state you took it in? (I wonder if that is for your particular state.) It took me about 59 days to get results (last time) in S.C. I wonder if there was some irregularity with the exam....I sent in a few comment forms on a couple things I noticed.....so maybe...

Yeah, that sounds right. I've got a MS so that won't be a problem. (In fact, I probably had that under my BS because when I graduated it was 140+ semester hours to get it; and I took even some free electives in structural design.)

I recently took the SE II, and I thought if I passed I might add Illinois. I'm almost positive that you don't need to be under an SE to get registered with Illinois [at least for out of state guys]....just 4 years of acceptable structural experience and passing the SE I & II. A buddy of mine...
