    NCEES prob 522

Yeah, this one is a little tricky.  The term reactance, gives you the "j", which gives you the 90 degrees.  Motor:  Power flow from terminal to internal voltage.   V_internal = V_terminal - ( 1.05 angle -18.19)(0.9j)

    PE Power New CBT Exam

This is something interesting about the CBT exam.  As many of you know, the Mechanical PE exams transitioned to CBT in the beginning of 2020.  Someone just failed recently and sent me their diagnostic report.  He found that his score was out of 70 instead of 80 due to the pretest problems.  This...

Sharing Computer Based Exam (CBT) experience - PE Mechanical Engineering

My theory as to why there is an uneven amount of problems between the AM and PM session is that the first half includes the Basic Eng Practice (4-6), Thermo (4-6), Psych (7-11), Fluids(3-5), Heat Transfer(6-9), Energy/Mass Balance(4-6) and Heating/Cooling Loads(7-11).  The second half includes...

    Oct 2019 - Failing scores

This is the latest that I have from my survey.  I'll post the link once I finish my analysis of the results.  I ask people to put their score in terms of number of correct as opposed to percentage.  In my opinion, the 55 is probably a percentage, as opposed to 55 out of 80.
