    HCM question weaving

According to the picture on pg. 24-25, for the movement of A to D requires one lane change and movement B to C requires no lane change since B can just merge onto C, therefore according to Exh. 24-5, the weaving type is B. Hope that helps.

Failed EIT Once Again Need Help

My only recommendations to you is to study the Lindeburg book really well and do all the sample problems. I took the EIT about 5 years after graduating too.. and to make things worse I got my degree in EE in which I took one class of statics, and never took fluid dynamics or thermodynamics or...

    Traffic Engineer (CA) License

http://www.pels.ca.gov/applicants/appintrope.shtml Qualifying experience are the same amount as the other PE disciplines... It requires at least 2 years of traffic engineering work and 4 years of engineering degree. You must also have an EIT.. otherwise I think 15 years of experience is ok...

    I don't know if this makes a difference but, I just used this formula: R = V^2/[15*(0.01e + f)] and solved for e.

    precentage split & precentage passing

Are you asking about no passing zones and directional split? If so, both of these factors affect the flow rate on a two-lane highway (Ch. 12 & 20) and the final product determining LOS which in this case would be the Percent Time-Spent Following. Look at the formula on page 20-9 and 20-10 to...

    FE PM: Electrical Engg

My advice is to take the general afternoon. SInce you're already studying for the AM general, the PM just takes longer to do, but same concept as Am. That way, the only book you need is the lindeburg FE book. If you can do the practice problems in that book, then you're set.

    HCM Waving question

You can look at Exh. 24-7 and see if your value of "Nw" is more than the maximum or not. If it is more than the max "Nw", then it's constrained, if it's less than or equal to the max, then it's unconstrained.

Can anyone help me answer this?

I don't really know the answer to the questions... so please let me know if I'm right or wrong, but anyway, my guess is 1) inadequate sight distance at intersections - because i think most accidents occur at intersections that have conflicting moves in which involves pedestrians, bicylists, and...
