I graduated in 2007.... and I can completely see why they would do this. EE in particular has gotten so broad it's ridiculous. My alma mater just changed their program so that you specialize in your Junior year instead of your Senior year for this very reason.

I'm doing my MEng part time right now. Personally I think it's becoming more common to do post-graduate course work, and I think eventually it will be the standard. There is no replacement for experience... but there's also no replacement for education either. In my limited experience...

I live in Phoenix. People literally die here without A/C.
