    Biggest Bang for Buck

I am just using Post it tabs to Tab anything that I find relevant. I myself struggle where to draw the line as I don't want to over tab and struggle finding things.

    Biggest Bang for Buck

I plan on getting my references tabbed and ready followed by doing couple of times tests on the weekend. As you mentioned I also plan on spending more time on NEC practice as I never used it prior to prepping for this exam.

Capacitor Banks - calculating series/parallel kVAR

Does anyone have an idea why we are adding KVARs with both series./parallel cap bank connections ?

I would do it as I solve each question. As you mentioned you dont wanna keep it to last & bubble wrong answers after solving correctly

I agree. Not sure what % of questions on the actual exam are of this level.

Question for the Week (Power PE)

I saw similar question in one of the Complex Imag test. I did the same thing of including the angle & got the wrong answer.

When to use phase and line current/voltage

Not sure if I understand your question correctly but unless stated that it is Phase Current/Voltage assume it is Line I or V

    CI Test 4- problem 5

I agree with you totally. that's what I thought but the Answer in the book is just the first one & not the second. I believe both are correct & this is a typo in the book maybe.

    CI Test 4- problem 5

what would be the advantage if you were to reconnect a conventional voltage transformer as an autotransformer ?  The answer is - it could handle more power one more option is “fewer windings are necessary “ which also seems to be correct to me.  Can someone explain this ?

    PU & X/R ratio relationship

the only logic I see is that the voltage is cancelled when we divide Zactual/Zbase and we end up dividing 2/20 which gives 0.1 pu for Gen. I am not stressing at that statement they wrote, not sure if that is true because even though X/R ratio is same doesn't means that the Z is same for both...

    PU & X/R ratio relationship

I am guessing since the Vbase and actual voltage is the same, they are simply dividing the Sactual/Sbase to get Zpu for generator. If we calculate it in ohms and convert it to pu we would do the same division.

    2017 Complex Imaginary

I did like 150 questions in the drill book and I did find the discrepancy sometimes. I plan on doing the rest couple of weeks before exam just to be fresh before exam so im not sure how it is in the later half of the book
