How many do I need to get right to pass the PM?

YES This is what happened to me exactly as well. I did not count the answers I feel sure about, but I should have, Dang. Now that I took the real exam, I feel the exam was a bit different than the NCEES practice exam or any other practice test I reviewed. So I actually have even less answers...

How many do I need to get right to pass the PM?

Thanks ptatohed and John QPE! It looks like I'm close. Actually after exam I felt confident I got at least 5-6 more right that I actually did. I later realized I made some silly mistakes, such as-- pulling a number from table and not reading footnote at bottom as I was rushing etc. Or missing a...

How many do I need to get right to pass the PM?

Hi Guys I just took the Transportation NCEES practice exam and I got 29 questions right. I was wondering how many do I need to get right to pass? I heard it varies from year to year but what is an usual range? Also I took the AM from NCEES practice and I got 31 right. So I am not sure if NCEES...

    NCESS Practice Exam Problem 501

I assumed N (Number of lanes) will be 4 when I solved this problem since it says four lane freeway. So a freeway is always called by adding number of lanes in both direction? I thought they were giving the number of lanes in analysis direction, afterall the freeway directions operate...

Question about R-values in Pavement Topic

I have a question about the R-values mentioned in the syllabus.  VIII. Geotechnical and Pavement  A. Sampling and testing (e.g., subgrade resilient modulus, CBR, R-Values, field tests) In pavement design chapter of my book there are two different definitions for R. In one place it says R is...

Help needed with clarifying NCEES topics (I-A Uninterrupted flow, I-B. Street segment interrupted flow)

I need your help to understand if I am covering these two topics from the NCEES syllabus as I should. These are two topics under Traffic Engineering- Topic I-A. Uninterrupted flow (e.g., level of service, capacity) Topic I-B. Street segment interrupted flow (e.g., level of service, running...

    Quiz #24

Awesome. I found the figure which shows the friction f to assume for a given design speed V. I didn't know that figure was there. THANKS!

    Quiz #24

I have a question. When you determine the minimum radius in first step don't you need both super elevation and friction? I am looking at the green book formula R(min)= V^2/15(e+f) what friction value are you using and why?

Anyone received exam authorization yet from NCEES yet for OCT 16 exam?

Thanks RBHeadge for the heads up. I will be sure to check this official version of exam rules as I do not want to surprise myself too much on the day of exam.

Anyone received exam authorization yet from NCEES yet for OCT 16 exam?

I remember NCEES said something like I'll get an exam authorization in mail before the exam when I registered. Do I have to take that with me for exam? Nothing in mail yet. Did you get yours?

    Question Regarding Lost Time

I don't know what is right solution, but I assume book's way is correct because it matches with how I think~ AR is the all-red time set and displayed on all approaches. AR is theoretically meant for the vehicles to clear the intersection but it may not be what the vehicles actually take.  All...

    Quiz #29

    I like this problem, I got the same answer. the way I did it Given,  Q = 63.4k - 0.46k^2 At maximum flow, dQ/dk = 0   or, 63.4 - 0.46 * 2k = 0 or k= 68.91 veh/mi (critical/optimum density) Q = 63.4 * 68.91 - 0.46 * (68.91) ^2 = 2184.54 veh/hr (maximum flow) Critical speed =  maximum flow /...

Morning Reference Manual by Dr. Mansour

Hi Everyone, I will takeTranspo PE, but my question is on the morning breadth.  I have Dr. Mansour's books for both AM and PM. I like the AM book especially because the chapters and subsections are named and laid out in order exactly like NCEES syllabus. It helps me to track how many questions...
