CA seismic and topo -June results

@rockb78 @engineeringforfun I experienced the same feeling about survey test like you. I thought there is unnecessary challenge in it (in contrast I felt the seismic test is designed more reasonable even though the subject was out of my league). I don't get it why there are so many tedious...

Just dropped off the check for reexam too. Kinda tough for me to spend all these $$$. I already spent so much more in everything than what I got my Florida PE for. Hope the hustling is worth of my desire to move to CA.. 😅😅

    Survey practice problems recommendations

I would like to know this too. I am a transportation guy, ironically I passed Seismic and failed Surveying! Hehe.. I felt like Surveying test had a lot more time-consuming questions compared to Seismic which had a more balanced distribution. At least it felt that way for me. Another challenge...

CA April 2018 Seismic Results are in !!!

Hi @CAPLS I am just wondering why CA board assigns a quarter after they initially approve someone, instead of letting them schedule a date on Prometric's site based on availability anytime of a year?..Thanks!

    Traverse closing Error- Adjusting Departure

Hi Guys, in my surveying book there is an example explaining how to apply adjustments to latitude and departures when the sum does not add up to zero. I suspect the book's calculation might be wrong, however it is the only example in the book. For example to adjust departure of BC, I am...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

I was wondering if I fail one or both exams what is the process to retake. Do I get authorized for the next quarter? Does the board charge fees to retake? I assume I pay prometric the same fees like first time scheduling? Thanks!

    CA PE Timeline

Hi @CAPLS I have question about postponing exam scheduling. So I am approved to take the exam in the April Quarter but I am not sure I will be prepared enough because I am traveling a lot for work these days. In case I want to schedule the exams on the following 3Q instead, do I need to do any...

Hi ptatohed, I am a Traffic Engineer and I recently became PE licensed in South Carolina. It is one of my wish to move to Los A. area  within a year. I was wondering 1) Do I have to take Seismic and Survey exams to become a PE there, even if I go through comity? 2) I plan to start looking for...
