AM portion was apparently too easy...

Even when I skipped a question, I made a random guess and filled in the bubble just to prevent a slip-up by filling in the wrong one on the next question.   Did this for three questions on the exam, surprising thing was when I came back to them..my worked answers matched my guesses for two out...

    Maryland Exam Information

For what it is worth; I pulled up the exam guide that I downloaded from NCEES on the week of my test registration (December 18); June 2015 revision.   Compared to the January 13, 2016 policy:

What references did you take to the exam and which did you use?

I'm curious what books you took to the exam vs used?   Figure this would be good info for future test takers even though it is fairly well documented for previous exams.    I saw people coming in which multiple crates, huge suitcases, even a large rolling wagon!   I had my one little bankers...

The effective time to prepare for PE exam

Took the ME MD exam last week.   12 years since my Masters, almost 20 since Bachelors, and I haven't applied much of my schooling within my profession over the years.    I prepared for 275 hours in a 12 week period.  No prep course; used PPI prep material (6MS, MERM PP), NCEES practice exam, and...

Unit Coversion Book - Lindeburg vs others

Yeah, how did the book linked above work?  I must say that my Lindeburg unit conversions book barely left my hands..particularly in the AM session.   I had tabs on all of the key units; btw, w, hp, 'cubic', etc.  Was so fast and convenient.  I'm pretty sure that I used the units conversion...

    Mech/HVAC PE April 2016

I've been occupying my time with all of the spring chores that were on delay due to the exam.    So basically I'm working myself ragged such that I'm exhausted by the time the sun sets....however, I still toss and turn all night thinking about problems.   Last night it was a conductive heat...

    Mech/HVAC PE April 2016

I took the md exam.   I thought the morning went great.  Had to flat out guess on one question and had to make an educated guess on two others.   For the pm, I freaked out for a bit after getting totally stumped on three questions in a row.  I moved past them and finished up the exam.  Had...

    Maryland Exam Information

Oh wow!   I took the exam on Friday in pa, pcs proctor.    I had on my garmin watch that I use for running (only watch I own).    Just prior to the exam, the proctors were reading the rules of he mentioned that watches with heart rate monitors are not to be worn.  I immediately raised my hand...

4 weeks to go; How is everyone doing?

I'm in the phase of "I forgot everything I did" in regards to my 'non-depth' area studying.     The past two days have been in panic mode trying to recap on Fluids, Thermo, and HVAC.   I think I calmed myself down after running back thru a few problems...staying up way too late as a result. ...
