I just noticed the original post was pretty old. Wonder how I can delete my posts? There does not seem to be an option to do so.

    I beam loaded on web.

Beam shear strength (for the overall beam span reaction), Web yielding, crippling, connection weld strength is the order I would check this. It is a simple shear connection and based on the load, a couple of inches of 3/16" weld should do the trick but usually the vertical legs are welded both...

    August 2020 Result

Stole this from another thread for reference here, so credit to whoever compiled it. Hopefully we get results by the end of this week. But nothing certain in these times of COVID for sure. I place my money on this Friday- 09/11. April 2018 Test Results: May 16, 2018 (Wednesday) May 2018 Test...

    Surveying exam August 2020

This is how I felt after my test as well. Think I scored 75%. Flagged 12. Guessed on about 4 questions. Had to reschedule this exam 4 times due to exam center closures and was finally able to take it this August. Hopefully we pass and get this over with.

Perhaps @CAPLS would be kind enough to share if August results would be released in early/late September?

    Average Age to take FE/PE/SE

I took my FE at 22 (I went for a Masters soon after my bachelor's so took it during my Masters program). Cleared Texas PE at 24. Took both components of SE (in the same administration, talk about over confidence 😅) at 26 but didn't quite make it. Took and cleared the california state specific...

    S.E exam books

Many codes got updated between the 8th and 9th edition including AASHTO, ACI, NDS, IBC and TMS. I would highly suggest spending some extra $$ and getting the 9th edition. It will be very helpful for concrete as well due to the whole reorganization of ACI 318-14.

    SE Exam Oct 2019 Result

I agree with this as well. Last time I took the test in April 2019, I received an A, A, IR, U on the lateral afternoon. I wrote the procedure and applicable code references for 50% of a problem and received an IR. Had to do the same on one half of another problem but couldn't note down the code...

    SE Exam Oct 2019 Result

Well...I was a little bit worried because of 1 afternoon question on which I solved the first two parts, but had to write down the process and precisely referenced code check equations for the last two parts due to time. I must have gotten an IR for that question.... But other than that, I felt...

    SE Exam Oct 2019 Result

Congrats to everyone who passed. I think calling the Texas board kind of made them check their Emails from NCEES for results. Anyways, the new TBPELS is doing a great job releasing the results on the same day. No complaints from this Texan.  :party-smiley-048:
