    one week to go

Good luck man, I'll be taking it this Friday as well. I've been "attempting" to manage stress by reminding myself life is filled with other things besides work, studying, this test, and structural engineering haha. No point in being stressed about arbitrary unacceptable when that realization is...

    EET classes

Class has been great so far, just wish they would update the dang PDF's when errors are found and reported. There were errors found in last session that are still in the PDF's for this session. Wastes time trying to catch that stuff and there has been a few in the loading and analysis section...

Recommended SE exam books for studying

LMAO I thought this was a thread suggesting what book resources were good to study for exam and really it's a thinly veiled book sell off advertisement!...I'm not mad at it! Throw this guy some dollars

    April 2019 SE Results Thread

I would think where you pass each part of the SE exam wouldn't matter as 'how the exam is administered' is not state dependent. In other words same exam taken in GA would be same one taken in NC. I've definitely heard of folks taking PE exam in other states if they hit the max retake number...

    California PE Questions

Yup that's how it happened. If there is a barrier for 1st PE applicants, I would advise OP to get licensed in his home state then apply for comity to CA and take other two state specific exams. Will have to pay a record transfer fee, but will save on flight, hotel, gas, etc.

    OSHA CFR 29 1910 and 1926 - 2016

For OSHA remember it's only a few sections out of the handbook. Don't print the whole couple hundred pages. I took about 40-50 pages to the exam and the index.

    California PE Questions

You don't need to physically take PE exam in CA to be licensed in CA as PE. I live in NC and was just licensed. Never step foot in CA besides for vacation. And I took all three (PE, Seismic, and Survey) right here in good ol' NC for the civil engineering PE.

CA PE Reciprocity for NCEES SE Exam

You have to become a California PE before becoming an SE (I believe the 3 year exp requirement can be applied retroactively) so the seismic and surveying exams are required. As far as I know unless you can get an exemption for your PE license out of state, you must pass the PE exam before taking...

x2. I've said this many times. We as structural engineers are not compensated at the level of liability and continuing examination associated with our profession compared to other professions.

Did you get a raise / bonus / perks after getting your PE?

That's true, almost like a "participation trophy" type raise

Did you get a raise / bonus / perks after getting your PE?

Because there is virtually no way adding a PE to a team doesn't add value unless you work in an exempt field. Adds value in marketing the company (e.g. +1 PE's on staff), optics to clients in correspondence, etc. If a company doesn't want to give you at least reimbursement for taking the exam...
