    Salaries??

The range fully depends on where you're located, what you do, etc. What's your field of engineering? Public or private? There's a lot to take into account.

How do you feel if a person tells you she spent only one night to prepare and pass the exam?

She's either an amazing test taker, a genius, or she's lying (the most likely one). I feel like stuff like this you need to take with a grain of salt. Passing a test/having a PE doesn't make someone a good engineer. If it's me I say congratulations and move on, knowing that said person is just...

Ah gotcha. You're good then. No need to do anything else.

No. You just need to send the "Notification of Successful Exam" form. Are you registered for the state specific exams? Have you taken them? You may need to submit the re-examination form for those.

Can I pass Seismic with just ASCE 7-10?

It honestly depends on what questions you get. I took it in April and passed it and didn't open the CBC/IBC material at all and only needed ASCE 7-10 and Hiner's workbook. That doesn't mean that you don't want to have it available though as you may get questions that you'll need the CBC/IBC to...

@bobbilly I should add on that this assumed you've already submitted an application for licensure. If you haven't, then you need to fill out the form below. http://www.bpelsg.ca.gov/pubs/forms/ceapp.pdf

It's probably because the BPELSG changed their website configuration. The next steps should take you to the "Notification of Successful Exam" form. I've linked it below. http://www.bpelsg.ca.gov/applicants/board_notification_form.pdf

CA April 2018 Seismic Results are in !!!

Following-up on this question. I took the surveying exam in April and found out in May I failed. I sent in my re-examination form and it was delivered yesterday. Given that timeline, should I be able to be approved for re-examination in June and be able to test in Quarter 3? Otherwise I'd have...

CA April 2018 Seismic Results are in !!!

Correct. The form you submitted to get approved for seismic and surveying was the application for licensure. No additional forms are needed once you pass seismic and surveying. They usually update the license lookup the day after they send out results and your license number should already be...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

You need to fill out the re-examination form and send it to the board. Once you get approved, you can take the exam in the quarter following the one in which you were approved. It's $150 per exam as far as fees go + prometric fees.

I can confirm. Failed surveying and only had one attachment. Oh well. Passed the 8-hour and seismic on the first try. Can't win them all right?

    CA Specif Exams

The goal of the board is to get results back on a monthly basis. So if you took an exam in April, the goal is for you to have a result mid-May. If you took your exam in May, you should have your result mid-June. The 30-day time frame doesn't really apply anymore.

    CA Specif Exams

Their goal is mid-May. However, in another thread we've discussed that it might be more likely the week of 5/21 since it's the first time they're doing testing/results on a monthly basis.

The only reason I gave it an extra week is because this is the first cycle they're doing monthly results. Might just take a little bit longer. But the sooner the better. I'm starting to get antsy.

    April 2018 Results

I'm guessing traction will pick up within the next week. No one is expecting the results yet. I imagine next week people will start getting antsy.

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

I took the national exam in October (and passed), but I had submitted my application to the Board in mid-October (before the rule change became official). When I passed I just had to send in my notification of successful examination. My application got approved at the end of December. Got my...
