    Survey practice problems recommendations

I'm in the same boat as both of you. I'm using Reza's workbook this go-around. It seems to be the most well developed from what I've seen and I've gotten a lot of recommendations to use it from co-workers. Also, the study plan is updated in his workbook.

    CA Surveying Exam Prep Course

I did CPESR the first time and failed. As Rihame mentioned, the CBTs are good, but the book and lectures are poor. For the re-test i purchased the workbook from Reza and am just doing that. He has a course too that I've heard is good. https://www.surveyingreview.com/ The workbook is really...

    Scheduling CA Exams

There was an issue in that applicants had gotten their ATTs but the ID numbers weren't in Prometric's system yet as far as I know. It was resolved Friday afternoon/evening as I was able to register for both tests

    Scheduling CA Exams

So I didn't get a notice and the new quarter has kicked off. I tried signing up without the notice but my ID number didn't work.

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

All tests from August get results back mid-September. So as far as scheduling for August, it's just when it's convenient for you.

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

You would need to take the tests in August, get the results mid-September, and reapply before October to be eligible to test in Q4.

    Scheduling CA Exams

@CAPLS Were Quarter 3 authorizations to test supposed to go out yet? We're 1 week out from the quarter starting and I haven't heard a peep as far as being able to actually schedule my exam. I did get the notice that I was approved so when should i be expecting to schedule something?

CA Surveying, Seismic Results from May

This was in another thread below.

I just got my fail notice for Seismic. It's the only exam I have left to pass. I have a question about scheduling.

I think what CAPLS is saying is that as long as the form is submitted/received by the board before June 30th, you're eligible for Quarter 3 testing (July through September)

I just got my fail notice for Seismic. It's the only exam I have left to pass. I have a question about scheduling.

Is the application approval rolling or do they approve applications once per month? I sent in my re-examination form mid-May and haven't heard back yet about being authorized.

    CA Seismic

You're correct I took it on the new quarterly basis. I received my results in mid May (5/16). Everyone who took the test in April got them that day. @CAPLS mentioned it before but the goal for the board is to get results back mid-month following the month in which you took the exam. Held true in...

CA April 2018 Seismic Results are in !!!

That makes sense. Is there a reason to not let people test in the same quarter that they submit their application?

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

That sounds like a lie. I sent in re-examination form a few weeks ago and it got there on like 5/21 or something. They cashed my check a week later. I haven't gotten a single e-mail from the board in that time frame.

CA April 2018 Seismic Results are in !!!

That sounds awesome! I have one test left (surveying) which I should hopefully be taking towards the end of July so i'm looking forward to that feeling in August/September!

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

You'll probably get results next week. If you failed, you wouldn't be able to take the exam until Q4 just because of timing of the application, which sucks.

Congrats! How does it feel to be a PE?

    Salaries??

That's the thing. I get a $2,000 pay bump, but it's because i'm in consulting for Civil and our stamp is necessary and i become that much more marketable.

    California

I believe @CAPLS mentioned that licensing occurs twice a month in another thread?
