Let's speculate on the results date. Last year April exam results were posted online on July 1. However, if you count the days between the October 2007 exam and the results date (Jan. 3 2008), that would lead us to June 19th, 2008. Ahhh, the fun of speculating!

Man, the cut score for the CompE exam better not be >56! We get the shaft on the morning exam, imho. Oh well, at least we can all agonize together as we wait. The good news is there is ONLY about 56 to 67 days to go by my best guess for Maryland. Then we'll all be doing :multiplespotting:

Anybody want to venture a guess at the cut score for the Computer Engineering EE exam? I am guessing 47 to 52. Hoping it is closer to 47. Rumors abound in my office and circle of friends. Power was rumored to be at 47. I figure the CompEs have less of a chance on the morning session so we...

That has been my thinking. The P.E. gets you more practical, whereas the Masters seems to gear you towards the R&D world, that is to say a bit more theory over practicallity.

Which calculator would you recommend for the EE exam?

How about Computer Engineering module, anybody taken that one? In your opinion, what were the topics that set the computer module apart? Was there anything on VLSI or VHDL/Verilog?

Any good references to bring to the test for "computer engineering"-centric questions in the afternoon. For things like RS-232, etc. ?

I downloaded what is there but the post is missing nec15_15.gif and thus the solutions to questions 8 to 15 are missing. Really need the solutions to be of a benefit. Thanks if you can help!

Seeing as this a board more dedicated to the P.E. than graduate education. I am curious to see what peoples opinion of getting a graduate engineering education as compared to pursuing the P.E. Especially if like me ( as a computer engineer) the P.E. isn't really needed/required. Obviously...

Allow me to be the voice of dissent. I am a computer engineer by degree, and would never have thought of attempting the EIT much less the PE if not for my job. I believe computer engineers are amongst the least represented engineer discipline on the EIT (not so much the EE PE). With that...

I believe they use a random number generator to determine passing scores, good enough answer as any!
