    Oregon PE results

For those who are curious, you can check out historical reporting time frames here: http://engineerboards.com/index.php?showtopic=10519 I did some analysis of the historical results reporting times for Oregon as follows: Oct 2005 Exam: Results Received on 1/12/2006, 75 days of waiting, 12...

    Oregon PE results

I'm not sure if this will be a dissapointment or a relief, but in years past, they do not need to wait for the board meeting to release results. For the April 09 exam, there were errors in the results from NCEES, which had to resend the results to OSBEELS, delaying result notifications. The...

Are you applying to take the FE or PE exam in Oregon?

A lot of people I know (almost every PE in my office) does work in Washington also, so we all get our Washington PE anyway in addition to our Oregon PE. Its not really "jurisdiction shopping" if you intend to practice in both states. Also, since the education/experience requirements are nearly...

Out-Of-State Exam is not allowed per California PE Board

NCEES has decided to limit out of state proctoring to military personnel serving oversees only. This was the original purpose of allowing out of state proctoring, but it resulted in an excessive number of people taking the PE exam in states in which they have no intention on practicing. You...

    EB.com BIGGEST LOSER

Hi everyone. Thank you for your concern, I guess I should have mentioned in my original post that its not life threatening and I'll be completely back to normal, eventually.

    EB.com BIGGEST LOSER

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I've not logged on in awhile - combination of being too busy at work or in the field. I wanted to let you all know that I need to drop out of the competition. :( A medical situation prevents me from exercising and my doctor doesn't want me going on a weight loss...

    Working out to lose weight

I second this recommendation. I recently had bloodwork done that came back indicating I was mildly hypothyroid, which can cause weight gain. Since it takes awhile for the medication to kick in, I'm hoping it will be a little easier to lose weight than it did when I tried 9 months ago.

    Working out to lose weight

My height is 5'3". And I wanted to point out that my goal weight might not be realistic in 4 months, but that is ultimately what I'm hoping to end up at. I guess I never answered the other questions: Strategy: monitor portion sizes, restrict alcohol consumption :( , I also have a gym...

    Working out to lose weight

I am willing to participate too, if you need an extra person. I'll post my stats once I know I'm in (also I don't really know them for sure, so I will measure tonight). But if you need to know approx numbers for assigning me to a team, I'm about 155, hoping to get down to 125.

Are you applying to take the FE or PE exam in Oregon?

Since most people applying to take an exam do not end up dealing with OSBEELS until after they've submitted their application, I wanted to post a warning about a recent change to the rules that will affect you if you fail and need to retake the exam. A few years ago, OSBEELS changed their...

Sometimes you just need to scream!!!

AAARRRRGGG!! JUST BECAUSE ITS A STANDARD, DOESN'T MEAN ITS RIGHT! Here is a conversation I had with the CAD manager for one of my projects (we’re in prelim design). . . Me: I’d like to change the text on the drawings for this project, I’m having a hard time reading it. CAD Manager: Well...

    --**-- Hangover Clinic --**--

That is very responsible of your daughter (to request a DD, not the fast consumption of shots  ). Since no one in our group wants to be a DD, we always end up crashing at the house of the party. Yeah, I don't think anyone was angry with me, just concerned. My stomach was back to...

Thank you so much willheldp! I was needing this information when I go to the OSBEELS board meeting in november to request they either change their notification policies for exam results or their deadline for re-application for examination. that sure saves me a lot of time!
