    CA PE-Civil refile time-frame?

Per California Code of Regulations Section 428, abandonded applicaionts, your application will be held for 2 years unless special circumstances exist. http://www.pels.ca.gov/licensees/boardrules.pdf Read that section and call the board. My understand is since you partially passed, that is a...

    NCEES #118

I don't quite agree with this. For 3 phase if they give you a ratio such as 1:10. That is gonna be the ratio of the individual windings. The first nubmer is the primary and the second number is the secondary. However for 3 phase transformers they usually tell you the line voltage of each...

    NCEES #118

    I'm getting Vphase = 13.2kv / srt(3) = 7.62kv

    NCEES #118

Camera's solution is correct. For 3 phase transformers, if they present you with ratios like this problem does they are winding ratios. However on each side of the transfomers line voltages are reported (unless stated otherwise). Winding ratios are always equal to the ration of phase voltages...

    Experience with General Contractor/CM Firm

Since you work for a CPM, I assume you have relationships which your consultant engineers. You can get them to reference you. I did that When I sat for the Electrical Power exam as there weren't any EE's and only a couple Civil's in my office to use as references.

Which Civil Depth Section Should I take?

Thanks Karen. I will let you know my feelings about it afterwards. When you are ready to prepare for the ME or EE exam, let me know. I can offer plenty of advice on either. Thanks.

    Experience with General Contractor/CM Firm

I don't think the board requires design experience. I was in the a similar boat twice and they approved it no problem.

Which Civil Depth Section Should I take?

My undergrad degree is in mechanical. I have a masters in general engineering. As of last week I'm a licensed PE in both Mechanical and Electrical (passed each on the first try). I want to do Civil next but don't know what depth topic to take. My work experience has been in construction of...

    CA Mechanical PE Question

I read that somewhere on the board site that you can actually do them on the same time. PE on friday and FE on Saturday. Well as long as you aren't taking the CA specific seismic & surevying exams.

Post April 2011 Diagnostic Report scores here (xx/80) if you failed

Springaround, sorry to hear about it, you'll nail it next time. What references did you take with you? I highly recommend this book: Power Systems Analysis & Design. It helped me pass it on the first try. Measurement and Instrumentation is pretty wide topics.. like anything that...

    CALIFORNIA - RESULTS April '11

It's a state agency so I'm assuming lunch is from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Let's say they push the putton at 1:15, NCEES will then fire off all the emails, depending on the lag of the email provider.... I'm gonna guess I'll get my email at 1:59:59, just 1 second before 2pm.

    Comity in CA

In CA there are no state specific exams for Electrical Power, only for Civil and Structural. California Electrical Code is identical to National electrical code with every "National" replaced with "California." You can apply for comity without a problem.
