Would Anyone Like to Share Cheat Sheets?

I have 1 page of various equations, 1 page of Mechanical Systems equations, 1 page of Thermo/Fluid Equations, and 1 page of HVAC equations that I'm putting in the front of a 3 ring binder (the binder also has the MERM and ASHRAE indexes in it) and was wondering if anyone else is also putting...

    Trane Psychrometric Charts

I would be happy to pay $7 per chart for 1 Trane low temp, 1 Trane high temp and 1 Trane high altitude chart. I would spent the $21 for those and just make copies. Where can I find them for $7 per chart?

    MERM

Yeah the problems book is important but the subject here is how the MERM sucks. And most of us agree it sucks in many ways but since it is the only book we have it is the best way to study.

    Trane Psychrometric Charts

Yeah I got the normal temp Trane Psych chart from them but they don't have the low and high temp or the high altitude charts.

    Trane Psychrometric Charts

Does anyone know where I can get Trane psych charts for low and high temps and for high altitudes? I like those better than the ASHRAE charts. Thanks!

    Problem 19 in 6-Minute Solutions

Does anyone know where the equation they use to solve problem 19 is in the MERM? It's The rate of corrosion loss and is found using the formula R=87,600 *m/(rho*A*t)? Where in the MERM will I find this formula? I would like to read up on this material and become familiar enough to use it...

    MERM

I'm also using the 12th edition but we say end-of-the-chapter problems because up until the 12th edition the end-of-the-chapter problems were included in the MERM. Now (starting with the 12th ed) those problems are in a seperate book. See link below...

    MERM

Ya know the more I study, and the more review courses I go to, the more I realize the MERM really sucks as a PE prep book and as an ME reference book. I know it's our only choice for a book that has everything in one cover but Lindeburg does a poor job with this book. Does anyone agree? The...

Started Working Thermo/Fluids 6 min Problems

I've started working the thermo/fluids 6 min problems. I'm only getting about 1/2 of them right from beginning to end without looking at the solution. I have not worked any of the other 6 min problem books. Also, it is taking me a LOT longer than 6 minutes per problem. How do the 6 minute...

    Programs For the HP-35s

I don't think I'll "need" any. I'm thinking about putting a few basic equations in though like Bernoulli's eq. Just wondering if anyone already had anything like this.

Does anyone have any good programs for the HP-35s?

Trying to keep my head down and my chin up lol

I'm trying to keep my head down into the books. I finished the MERM and now I'm working problems in the Thermo/Fluids area. I'm going to spend about 11 days doing as many of those problems as I can. In about a week I'm going to start working problems in the MD area for ~7 days. Once that is...

    Conversions

Yeah, I have the same book. It is handy. It's pretty good if you are converting teaspoons to cubic light-years, lol! :th_rockon:

    What should I do next?

This is very true. When I took the exam, going in to it I felt like I knew the stuff but when I started the exam I was way thrown off due to the questions being all mixed up. This caused me to take longer per problem. Then I felt the pressure of running behind and it was all downhill from...

    What should I do next?

I will be completely through the MERM (read chapters and worked end of the chap problems) sometime this week. What should I do next? I do not feel confident about any of the areas just to be honest. Since I'm taking the HVAC depth my exam will be ~60% HVAC and I will only have ~2 months left...

Using the FE Exam Book For the PE

Has anyone used the FE exam book with the PE? Anyone think it could be useful? Thanks!

    MD to fluids/Thermo or HVAC

If you take the HVAC depth, you will need all 4 ASHREA books. I'm using the 97-2000 versions. They definitely do NOT need to be the latest versions. I think if I were buying a used set I wouldn't go with a set earlier than 1990 but that just me.
