    39... I mean... 40 days

minor updates of "hey guys, still working on it. will report back later." will just cause further unrest and give people more reasons to moan. plus they have no control over timing once it's been released to individual states. i don't see a reason to get irked at NCEES.

similar to NJmike. May 20th, 2014 ~7:30am i was at work, not working because i was too busy F5'ing. email came in and said to check my NCEES account, logged into my account and and PASS! i got a bunch of congrats from people around the office, then i posted here on EB.com. spent the rest of...

    October 2014 difficulty (Structures PM)

The Depth portion of the exam was difficult. I'm weak in masonry and timber and unfamiliar with some of the codes (AASHTO for example). If I happen to pass the exam I'm still going to study masonry and timber as I want to be a well rounded engineer. I wouldn't be shocked either way, if I pass or...

NCEES has released the 2015 exam outlines

The Structural Depth topics looks about the same, just worded and organized differently on the syllabus. All the codes were updated though.

    Oct Civil - Structural Impression

the morning section was about what i expected. the afternoon was rough. I'm strong in steel and concrete but weak in masonry and timber. Here's how i think i did: AM Portion: 32 I'm confident are correct, 5 could go either way, 3 are complete guesses. PM Portion: 26 I'm confident are...

Down to single digits, how's everyone doing?

NY needs to lighten up. i'm surprised they expect you to sit for two 4 hour stretches with no water (or expect you to exit the test to find a drinking fountain). i took the exam in WA state and i had 3 bottles of water, a 20 oz coffee (morning), and a 16 oz coffee (afternoon). i was jacked up...

Mechanical Engineer preparing for the Civil PE exam

I feel pretty decent after the exam but not as confident as I felt after the ME PE exam. Here's how I think I did: AM Portion: 32 I'm confident are correct, 5 could go either way, 3 are complete guesses. PM Portion: 26 I'm confident are correct, 7 could go either way, 7 are complete guesses...
