    Results Next Week?

Actually... not really. Just did AZ. The last number in there is 63286. Took me less than 5 min :-D

    Results Next Week?

You need to be an equal time waster as I am and put in numbers in multiples of 10 thousands, thousands, hundreds, tens, until you find the right one. That's what I did in April. I started with 20K or so and worked my way to 80K then 85K  etc... until I narrowed it down. Earlier this week, I...

    Results Next Week?

There's probably a PE Lookup for AZ. I know CA and MA have one. Looks like this is where you'd search http://directorybtr.az.gov/listings/professional_registrant2.asp

    Results Next Week?

At least new out-of-state applicants are getting results in CA. Count went from 86226 to 86229. Eventually they'll run out of out-of-state licenses to enter 1 to 3 at a time and will have to enter new in-state ones. Maybe results are sooner than I thought.

    Results Next Week?

Can we have a poll and a quarter bet going? Based on April's results and CA Board meeting scheduled for Dec 8 to 9, I say results will be out Wednesday Dec 14 in CA and not too far for others. They'll be manually sending each email so some people will be getting them all through that Friday...

Changes in Application Process In 2017 in California

Actually, I just confirmed my suspicion. See the re-file application here: http://www.bpelsg.ca.gov/applicants/re-examination_form.pdf It doesn't include the NCEES 8hr exam. Whereas the one I got last year did include NCEES (couldn't attach). In addition, the application for new applicants...

Changes in Application Process In 2017 in California

The way I read it, there's no change that you should worry about requiring resubmitting an application. There's a difference if you're applying after December 12, 2016 which means you're applying for Fall 2017 since the deadline for Spring 2017 has already passed. In addition, if someone didn't...

    Results Next Week?

In CA, the harder part is actually applying and sending in the application. I thought it was just me until people who applied last year and this year would come to me with the same questions I had.

Thoughts on Recent CA Survey Exam and Review Course

Wait!!! You have the secret? It's scotch right? I've been drinking brandy before the test. I knew I was doing something wrong!

    Military Separation Advice

Are you looking to move to the private sector? Are you thinking public works, major works...? Personally, I'd look for and try to stick with a federal agency. Even if there isn't a watman or other water field position available, it would be easier for you to get another engineering position with...

    B.S.Eng w/concentration vs. B.S.M.E.

I just realized that I got lured into a revived 5-year old post. Oh well! I hope it worked out for @GDIklz. He should be out now and report!

    B.S.Eng w/concentration vs. B.S.M.E.

You're going to (and should) do what you think is best. This is observation from my friends, and others I know, who went the BSEng route with a Civil concentration in MA between 2001 and 2007. I'm being awfully specific because it might be important. Back then, that was a new program at...

CA Specific Exams - Oct 2016

Engineer through and through, hey! Crazy bunch! lol I got a new distraction earlier this week so I stopped thinking about CA state specific exams. Now I'm being reactive. Waiting on MA to tell me if they'll give me a license. haha!

CA Specific Exams - Oct 2016

That was pretty much me today with survey and it was the first time I took it as well. CA can keep their license. I'll go back to MA and take the 8-hour again. Should have done that before moving here.  I managed to skip 2 problems that were intentional time-suckers and still had 12 questions...

2017 CA Seismic Exam ASCE 7-16

EET said they're updating their courses and material for the new code that the state will switch to. That's confirmed as of last week. Sent from my SURTAB-722-3G-HD-1S using Tapatalk

Any good CA survey review class? Study hours?

I second Maji. First time didn't go so hot with just the workbook that I got. I also borrowed another workbook from a friend. No dice. Mind you that both of those books are basically the same. You'll find that one is better laid out and explained depending on your background. This time, I have...

CA Specific Exams - Oct 2016

Yuck!!! If I'm not doing a one step calculation it's just a time drain. I've done every one of them from the sample problems you sent me so I'm doing better with them now and I started looking at them like calculus problems than just geometry. At least I was good at that. It has made them...
