April 2019 Post Exam Wait Period - Welcome to the Suck

At what phase do you stop caring about when results come out and become dead inside?

April 2019 Post Exam Wait Period - Welcome to the Suck

Not sure if it’s a good thing or not but I don’t recall any questions.  I felt fairly confident most of the test...  Again, not sure if that’s a good thing Any past test takers have an opinion?

April 2019 Post Exam Wait Period - Welcome to the Suck

I wasn't a fan of using binders.  For the TFS exam you have to jump between references so frequently and binders make it hard to stack references on each other.  I was fortunate enough to have access to a "comb" binder.

    NCEES survey Email

Clearly you failed the exam, you didn't even use the right NCEES survey formula from section 2 of article 4.8. The formula is Day-Month-Year+Hour+minutes>>>> 4-11-19+6+59=39. YOU FAILED.....

    April 2019 TFS Feedback

I had the same feeling walking out of the exam.  I was on cloud nine until I got to the last 15 questions of the PM.

    April 2019 TFS Feedback

I guessed on around 19 but I estimate around 5  were blind guesses.  I had slightly more studying in than you but not much.  Did you do any mock tests? Less than 8 right? Haha from what I've seen in the past for MI I should know by the 1st of June.

It appears that I am the only one on the forum that took the Mechanical TFS exam???

    April 2019 TFS Feedback

Alright, where are all my TFS buddies?  I was comfortable with 31/40 on the A.M. and 30/40 on the P.M.  Overall I thought the exam was very fair and if it was anything like the 4 practice exams I took I got somewhere between a 75 and 80% overall.  My mind was for sure starting to slip towards...

April 2019 Post Exam Wait Period - Welcome to the Suck

I took the TFS and felt really good about most of both the A.M. and P.M.  I confidently answered 31/40 on the A.M. and 30/40 on the P.M.  I felt that overall the exam was easy but fatigue started to set in towards the end of the P.M. and I caught myself thinking too hard on easy concepts.

    Practice Exam

I took the NCEES 2016 Mechanical TFS exam last weekend in a simulated format and got 80%.  My problem is time not knowledge.  90% of the answers I got wrong were a pure guess because I ran out of time.  The answers I did get wrong without guessing were simple unit mistakes.  I will be taking the...

    It's now invaded my dreams....

Work covers the first attempt and that's it.  I feel like I have to study more than most at my work because I am taking the TFS exam and work in Substation Engineering.... i.e. my job has nothing to do with the test I'm taking.  Everyone here either takes one of the Civil PE exams or the Power exam.

    It's now invaded my dreams....

Having similar dreams here as well.  I feel good about taking the exam at this point (around 300 hours of studying) but still worried in the back of my mind.  Just pounding out as many practice problems as possible between now and next Friday and fine tuning my references... Two guys at work are...
