I believe this is question #138 on the NCEES 2016 HVAC practice exam.   The question asks for the minimum pressure rating (psi) of the piping system.   I do believe the question is not worded very well.  I think they are assuming that the pump is sized to overcome the vertical lift of 160 ft...

Hi ericjiangpsu Yes, the exam and guide have been updated for the new 2017 mechanical pe exam format. There are a few people on engineer boards that took my sample exam. Hopefully they respond too. 

GR8 PLUMENG, I took both the HVAC and Fire Protection (passed).  I thought that the Fire Protection was much harder than the HVAC due to the number of codes that you have to study and also the Fire Science portions, which are covered in a Fire Protection Degree.  One person I know is switching...
