Does anyone recommend using Schaum or REA books

One more suggestion, download the errata for all of your references (MERM, SMS, NCEES, etc). This was the best thing I could have done early on...it saved alot of head scratching and frustration.

FE Review Manual Useful For PE Exam Prep?

I had a copy of the FE manual and didn't crack it once during my preparation. Some people peruse the FE manual to get their study juices going. But overall, MERM and the NCEES practice exams are the way to get ready for the PE exam. I also found the Six Minute Solutions booklets (all three depth...

Does anyone recommend using Schaum or REA books

I borrowed from a friend a copy of the Schaum's Thermodynamics for Engineers book. However, I didn't find it useful in my preparation. I don't have a comment on the REA publications as I never used them. What I found useful for extra problem solving were the Six Minute Solutions (HVAC, Machine...

    MERM practice problems book

I used the one-hour problems as extra bonuses. My priority was to work the others first. Any extra time I had left was used on the one hour problems. In most cases it did not take an hour to complete them.

Also see the forum thread for PE Prep Classes and Materials: http://engineerboards.com/index.php?showforum=22 I found this thread very helpful in giving the 411 on which review courses were of most value. Stay encouraged.

    Allowed References?

As recommended, check with your state board. Most if not all, require that the materials brought into the examination are bound. This could mean a 3- ring binder, folder w/binding, spiral binder, etc. I didn't laminate my charts/graphics. I put them in binders and/or tabbed their locations in...

MEPE Exam-- Your recommendations for passing

D.Kephart, we welcome anyone to judge for themselves. Truth be told, the guy was banned for being disruptive to the group. Case in point, his post here tells what we had to deal with. As a matter of a fact, we have several members that passed the MEPE exam in April and still maintain their...
