    Is your answer in relation to the Voltage Drop equation that the answer uses? My question was why can't you use ohm's law equation instead? And If I shouldn't use ohm's law, then why not.

    @adg30 Definitely don't forget to get the official NCEES practice exam, it is the closest you'll get to the wording of the actual exam. Personally, I would recommend that's the first exam you get.

    The GMR formulas you've listed are used when multiple conductors are used in a single phase of a transmission line. I haven't seen many practice problems that are anything but single conductor per phase. A side note based on one of your statements: the inductance formulas use GMR (0.7788r)...
