I passed PE civil construction exam ( 8 attempts )

Hi YME, You make a good point. I would agree that it would be easier to hit 40/40 in the AM. Anecdotally: I scored better on all my AM practice exams than my PM practice exams, typically by up to 4 questions. I do think it is worth considering that fully 65% of the Civil Construction PE exam...

I passed PE civil construction exam ( 8 attempts )

If you can ace the construction portion of the exam you really don't need to get much else right. The Breadth Exam specification includes approx 12 questions that are from the Construction portion. http://ncees.org/wp-content/uploads/Civ-Con-April-2016_with-design-standards.rev-1.pdf Combined...

    Construction Depth Pass?

Hey Cuatona, I would sell the Peurifoy text to you. It is the 7th edition, FYI. I think there is an 8th edition out but I doubt much changed. I would also sell my practice exam books to you if you'd like. They have marks in them all over the place but otherwise good shape. Send me a private...

    Construction Depth 2017

Mulvaney, I used EET On Demand for the breadth and the depth. I cannot say enough about EET. I fully credit them with my passing score. I highly recommend it. They really "focused the searchlight" during studying. Samir Ead handles the construction depth lectures. I found him to be a great...

    Construction Depth Pass?

Ocotber 2016 - passed Civil - Construction on the first go. I posted this little passage last fall but figure I will re-post here for new visitors.  I used EET On Demand for the breadth and the depth. I cannot say enough about EET. I fully credit them with my passing score. I highly recommend...

Practice Problems for the Breadth and Depth Sections

Sanjeem, Your first stop should be a visit to the NCEES exam outline located here. NCEES posts a detailed outline of each and every exam topic. It's really quite generous - they tell you every subject on which you might be tested. If a topic is not present on the exam outline, you will not be...

Practice Problems for the Breadth and Depth Sections

I would agree that PPI's practice problem book, a companion to the CERM, contains questions that are more difficult than what you will encounter on the exam. I recall the PPI book containing questions with "Time limit - 1 hour" in the problem statement. That's not the kind of problem you're...

    EET Breadth

I posted this the other day over in the Construction exam subforum. I would assume that Goswami has equivalent books for WRE exam-style questions. What worked for me was solving a lot of practice exams in the most realistic setting as possible. I had set up a study area in my basement and used...

    Additional Study Material

I used every Construction Depth practice test I could get my hands on. I also did a series of Breadth practice exams. The tests and practice problems I solved outside of EET's were as follows: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1539098494/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1  Goswami...

    EET Breadth

I would strongly recommend EET for Breadth and Depth. I took their depth class first for my module, then I went back and took the Breadth section. I think the biggest advantage to EET is they show you what you need to be studying. They adhere to the exam outline and hit the critical topics for...

So...How long did you study what was your game plan and what was your result

Discipline? Prepare time? What study materials did you use, bring to the exam? How did it work for you? What would you have done differently? First time in Civil - Construction. I passed. I used EET On Demand for the breadth and the depth. I cannot say enough about EET. I fully credit them...

    Review Course Pass/Fail

EET, Civil Construction. Pass. I am certain that EET was the reason I passed on the first try over 10 years out of school. They really "focused the searchlight" during studying.

New Practice Exam (Breadth) by Indranil Goswami

JGipe I agree with your assessment that AM005 has a mistake in the problem statement/solution. The problem statement uses 12kip for the weight and the solution & possible answers are solved using a weight = 20kip. I was stuck on that one for a while as well!
