    Civil engineering in Canada

Has anyone made the switch from civil engineering in the states to Canada?  How was the transition?  How did their PE exam compare to ours?  Are there firms that typically look for engineers with an American PE license?  I’m considering moving to Vancouver specifically.

Every Test Taker I Know Passed

    April 2019 Pass Rates

I think a lot of people take construction if they do general engineering work.  The problem with construction, and why I didn't take it, is because with a lot of the questions you either know the answer or don't.  With the other concentrations, if you understand the concept you can often work...

April 2019 Civil - WRE Results

you didn't do any practice tests?  I didn't think the wastewater questions were too tricky, if you understood the wastewater questions on the practice exam you should have been able to at least half the ones on the exam.

    Didn't Pass! Help..!

I took the FE right when it went over to CBT.  Some of the people I took it with said the CBT was easier than the paper exam, so take that as you will.  With the CBT it was REALLY easy to find information in the reference manual, you just did word searches in the program.

if you knew hydraulics, I felt that was a big win for this AM section.  That's my weak point and hurt me the most, a lot of the hydraulics questions on the exam were not similar at all to the ones on the practice exams I took

The ones who passed tell us how you did.

Reposting from the CE-WRE thread.  This was my first time taking it, studied a little over a month, used three practice exams, the CRM, and some old text books I've kept around.  I was fairly well prepared for the AM, I was NOT prepared for the PM.  Five years out of college. I passed so I...
