I realized even I passed the PE exam this year, I would have to wait for another 4-5 years until I get the license.... I only have planning degree.. Too bad.

 
At least you have the opportunity to sit for the exam early while knowledge is fresh from school.

I had to wait 5 years to apply to sit for the exam. And then re-learn a bunch of stuff for it.

consider yourself lucky, I took the FE 5 years ago.  If I could have taken the PE right after that, it would have been a cake walk.
