I have been a spectator on this site since late October, and am awaiting my PE Structural results. Good luck to you and to all.

Guest kipVA Report post Posted December 27, 2006 Hey Kip, welcome to the board. At which site did you take the exam. I took my second attempt in Richmond, not bad since I live 15 minutes from the Convention Center. Sapper,I sat for the exam in Fairfax (Northern VA). It was about a 45 minute drive from my home, but since I have two children at home (ages 2 and 1), I go a hotel and sequestered myself studying from Wednesday night. Haven't pulled that much of an all nighter since school, except with the screaming little guys
pokadoros 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2006 Fairfax, VA!!! Microphones not working, lunch in the rain. EES locked us out and they didn't even let us stay inside the building (out of the exam room) because we made noise. Then how you expect passing rate to be close to US average. I expect 30-35% passing on this exam site. :wait
pokadoros 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2006 I called again the VA board today Friday before new years long weekend. They claim they have not received results yet!! :tone: :wait I think they will call the day off by lunch time.
Guest kipVA Report post Posted December 29, 2006 I spoke to Tara at EES and she said that results were sent to VA board yesterday. Followed up with call to VA board and the lady said that they would start processing next week, and that the web database would be updated before the letters were sent. However, their office is closed on Tuesday as well. She advised me to check the liscense lookup on DPOR website next week for my name.
pokadoros 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2006 So the EES send the results on Thursday! :claps: VA board decided to lock their office for the holidaysFri half daySatSunMonTue Why do something today when you can do it next week!We are government employees. We don't care about you and we prove it with any chance. :die:
pokadoros 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2006 Thursday next week assuming all board employees show up for work on Wed. They have sick leave, vacation time and if they show up they need to check e-mails, phone messages, discuss how they spend their holidays etc.It is possible to find out Monday January 8 2007! :wait
DVINNY 180 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 Sapper, I hope you hear something today before heading out!!!!!!!!!!!They should have to track down you're info in your situation. Just my opinion.
Dark Knight 838 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 I think the same way. At least they should show him some deference and respect. There must be a way to track results for cases like Sapp's.
pokadoros 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 VA Board site is working now. The problem is my name is not there. I have the ability to endure waiting or delay without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties but now I start to lose it. :wait Wed Jan 3rd 2007 and nothing yet. Guest josuerod Report post Posted January 3, 2007 I'm new to the forum, and my first post is not good news!! I just called Virginia and they haven't received the results yet...
Guest Catatonic Report post Posted January 3, 2007 Obviously there is a great deal of confusion, or more likely indifference, from the Virginia DPOR and EES. Some people say they have talked to EES and Virginia DPOR and have gotten word that the results have been sent to the state. Others say they have been told that the state has not recieved them. It sounds to me like it must be a bunch of architects running the process, because it is SNAFU. I don't think it took this long last time. :whatever:
Road Guy 10,674 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 I really think its SOP for most states to say they have not received them until they have actually already mailed them, and then they say "the checks in the mail"it appears this time and last time (most) states used the "we have not received them yet" line, and then people would get results the next day.
RIP - VTEnviro 534 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 ^ The standard response I got when someone stonewalled me about results was:"They'll be mailed tomorrow."

Looking at it from NCEES or the State Boards view, I would not say that I have the results either. If you do, then the next question is obviously going to be "Can you tell me mine?" and you know they wouldn't want to do that.I would not want to have to be the one to tell a guy on the phone that he failed. I'd rather make him wait another day, and get it in the mail.(Unless he's Sapper and is leaving that day)
Guest Catatonic Report post Posted January 3, 2007 I can understand EES and the DPOR not wanting to deal with phone calls, but if they would get the results out in a REASONABLE amount of time, then this whole thing would be a non-issue.
Guest josuerod Report post Posted January 3, 2007 I don't know if this makes any difference, but the lady told me that TX got the results last thursday and that the results are sent alphabetically, so she said, they are expecting the result this week or beginning of the next one! :old timer:
