A delta Wye transformer is rated for: 34.5 KV/480 V, 125 Amp primary (high side) line current.

This problem used 1.73 * I(line) * V(line) for the power calculation.

What made this a 3 phase system in the description above?

You don't have delta/wye in single phase.

Hmm, the description could be a single phase line from a 3 phase system.

It did not say the system was balanced or unbalanced system which would tell me 3 phase.

It's inherent when you see delta/wye in the specifications and safe to assume that is 3-phase. Don't read into it too much. If what you said above was true, it would be stated that way then.

Thanks iahim and knight1fox3 for your help.

Thats me, reading in more than what is needed. Thats part of why I'm taking this for the 2nd time.
