    Essential Equations Mech. PE Exam for HP 33s

    I have a new copy of "Essential Equations for the Mechanical PE Exam Using the hp33s". Never used, I decided to go with the casio calculator instead of the hp, didn't have to learn RPN. Cost me $43 (from PPI), will sell for $19 plus $3 shipping. BPH

    Error in MERM?

    In MERM 12th ed, page 33-6 (chapter 33 is refirgeration cycles), first sentance in secion 9; "Any gas will cool when expanded." I don't think this is correct, it depends on the Joel-Thompson coeficient and the inversion temperature of the gas. See MERM 12th ed page 25-3. Not a big deal...

    Shigley and Mischke???

    I see lots of reference to Shigley and Mischke for the ME PE but they have two popular books, "standard handbook of machine design" and "mechanical engineering design", I wonder which one people keep referring too as a must have for the ME PE? Thanks for your comments. Bart
