Just an FYI--being married to an architect.....the grace period for the architects was as follows: If they had passed at least 1 exam by this past May, then they would have a 1 year grace period to finish the remaining exams on the old format. Meanwhile, if they hadn't passed any exam by this...

^^^^^I heard on one of the forums about a guy who actually did that because he wasn't comfortable with the :unitedstates: units.....so he did actually convert all the given info to metric and then ran the calcs and converted it back to :unitedstates: ......from what I remember, it didn't...

I can't figure out if these laws are a throw back to the old days when Structural Engineering was a more primitive artform....but I'm suprised that the state boards choose not to do anything about it now-especially given how anal (rightfully so) they are about unqualified engineers performing...

Rant on. I can't speak for IL, but I can tell you for a fact that this :BS: is allowed in California....which I find to be quite funny since they have such strict provisions for the engineers obtaining the CA S.E. license. Typically in CA, you need to have the S.E. to do hospitals or...
