    December 2019 Test Results

I see that there is a topic specific to Survey, but wanted to start one for both tests. Historically, what has been the day results are released for December? I imagine there is a slight delay with the holidays? Personally, I took Seismic for the 2nd (and hopefully last!) time and found it to...

EET Seismic Exam Preparation - Time Management

I did not use this specific book (I used Hiner and Mansour) but I can still offer some advise that will hopefully help you. The first time I took this test I went in with the Hiner and Mansour workbooks having a ton of tabs in them. For every question I needed an equation on, I would have to...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Took the seismic test yesterday (attempt #2). My goal was to over prepare and I went in pretty confident since I took 3 practice tests and was scoring between 85-90%. I left the exam not feeling nearly as confident. I flagged 6 questions that I ended up guessing at the answer, but there were...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Hey all, In Q2 2018 I took and failed Seismic. I then passed survey but got so busy with work and a baby being born I'm just now starting to retest Seismic in Q4 2019. Unfortunately, I don't remember all of the specifics from when I sat for Seismic the first time around, however in looking at...

September survey and seismic exam result?

I just got my Survey results. Passed... really good feeling after failing Seismic a month before. For reference, I was trained as a site deisnger and roadway/rail engineer so survey was considerably easier for me than seismic.

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

I got my ATT on Friday so I'm all set. It's good to know that the cutoff isn't necessarily the first day of the quarter! Any tips for retaking the Seismic from anyone who has passed? I'm not sure what I'm going to do differently besides just doing a lot of problems again. I took Heiner's...

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Nothing yet. I'm getting worried this will put me into Q1 2019...when my wife is due with our first. Really hoping to knock this out before then!

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Hopefully this will help someone else. I took and failed my seismic exam in August with the plan that if I failed I would take it again in the 4th quarter. I sent all of my information in from the midwest and it was delivered to BPELSG on the morning of 9/20. Today is the last business day of...

    August Test Results

How many did you guess or feel unsure on if you remember? I'm just trying to gauge how much better I might need to do for a pass.

    August Test Results

I think I  underestimated the amount of questions I needed to get correct. I figured with 11 guesses I was in the clear.

Sorry to hear the news...i failed too. What did your 6 results say?

    August Test Results

To people who passed seismic...how did you think you did before seeing your results? How many questions did you guess on or think you got wrong?

    August Test Results

I failed seismic. I was pretty sure I passed so not a very good feeling. I was deficient in the first three categories and marginal in the last 3. I wonder if you can pass with all marginal. I'll have to regroup and try again in a month.

Everything you wanted to know about the CA-Survey/Seismic Civil PE Exams

Just took my Seismic test yesterday. I mostly studied from Hiner's workbook and when I was slow to grasp a concept I would look for the analogous section in Mansour's workbook. I felt like I had a pretty good understanding of all the concepts and tabbed the hell out of both workbooks and ASCE...
