PE out of state expiration date

So I just saw I got my PE license number on DCA.CA.GOV, no wall certificate yet. Is there a reason as to why it says it expires in December?? Birthday is in May.

Thanks, I have not filled that out. I didn't really know any of the steps that I needed to do. Is that other form just for civil? I am electrical.  NVM I found it http://www.bpelsg.ca.gov/pubs/forms/peapp.pdf

April 2018 Power PE Difficultly Level

AM session was harder for me. I finished the PM session about an hour early and review my answers and then left about 20 mins early.

    PPI Camara Practice Problem 98

Since we are on the topic of rectifiers, if this was a half wave rectifier we would need to change 1/pi to 1/(2*pi)??

    PPI Camara Practice Problem 98

I got the same thing as you but cos^-1(-0.4659) = 117 degrees. https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=.17+%3D+(1%2Fpi)+*+integral+from+X+to+pi+of+sin(theta) Answer is 2.055 radians which is 117 degrees

    NCEES 510

For fire pumps you round up the to the next largest size OCPD based on the LRC sum of the fire pump, jockey pump and accessories.

    April 2018 Code Books

Did you find anything in them that really relates to power? I glanced through one of them and I dont see how they would be any help, I probably missed something. Also the NEC article 500 section covers hazardous areas, combustible dusts, fuel, etc..., and I saw no problems on them in the NCEES...

When do loads NOT contribute to fault current?

I've so far assumed that loads do not contribute fault current, I haven't seen a problem that has had the load contribute fault current besides a motor.  Do you mind posting the question and answer?

When do loads NOT contribute to fault current?

Some problems will state that the load contributes no fault current, it is also a load how can it contributed fault current? If the load is a motor then it is a different story and that will have a fault value contribution.

Output voltage of a full wave rectifier with an open diode

I already owned both the guide and the test before I got the code, decided today to get the code drill book he has. Not having an index is really a downside to it but alongside with Graffeo's book they seem to cover pretty much anything I have encountered. Maybe I will get bored and tab his...

Output voltage of a full wave rectifier with an open diode

Yes. EngProguides has the same problem execpt at 480V with a load of 30Ω. Find Vmax then divide by 2. Same steps as you have done it also has another way of doing it with power equations which is useful if you are asked this same problem but only given the voltage across the load.  Pfull =...

    Pinpointing Shortcomings

Well that makes me feel better about taking your test. Also thanks for the errata I had a question on problem 3 & 7 about the phase shift but that solved it. You should make the errata more accessible to get I don't see a link anywhere on your site.

    Pinpointing Shortcomings

I just started that test about 2 days ago, I got about ten problems into it and got 2 right. I also did the CI tests and NCEES  tests. I got about 80% on the CI test #4 and about 65% on my first pass through the NCEES about 2 weeks ago. IDK what it is but the wording seems off to me in it or...

    Graffeo Ex. 18 Per Unit

@supra33202@bripgilb Not sure what edition book you have, mine says October 2017 printing. But the % reactance isnt even part of the equation to find the base impedance so I am not quite sure as to why he shows it, this book is full of errors. Finding Zbase1,3 isnt even necessary for the...
