    Ethics Question

The benefit is to their peace of mind that they did their due diligence. If something bad happens, and they can't honestly attest to the fact that they recalculated everything, and confirmed the information before signing, then that could be a major problem for them.

    The Running Thread

So I ran the 10-miler with like hardly any training...and it was fine. Don't try this at home, kids. I finished 10 minutes slower than I did back in April... not bad for someone who didn't train. And I went back and checked...the longest run I completed before this race was actually 6 miles and...

    The Running Thread

I don't want to start the habit of quitting, but I don't think I should start my next 10-miler. I was just way too busy to train properly. I know I can run about 7 miles without any issues. I think I will struggle to finish 10 miles comfortably. I don't know. I can't decide. The race is in 2 weeks.

Engineering Ethics - Did I overreact? underreact?

Without question, what you were asked to do was wrong. You reacted in a reasonable way. When that happens, people will try to make you feel like you're crazy. You're not. Well done.

Repeat Takers Strategies - Civil PE CBT

This worked for me, but only for a few subjects. Scheduling, geometrics, and soil mechanics were my best topics. I was pretty strong in all of these, so I made a point to get through these first. Now, if I found that it started to take me more than 30 seconds to get started, I moved on. You...

    The Running Thread

Little robot starts her first track practice in 2 weeks. She's gone on long walks with me but never a sizeable run. We will start doing that together this weekend. How old is minisnick? Middle school age? Mine is still in elementary school, so I wonder what their warm up will be.

    The Running Thread

If you start slow, then there's only one way to go. lol I'm not very fast but I enjoy attending an organized race and running with other people who think getting up early and sweating for a couple of hours is a good idea.

I think I found my Fall half marathon. I just have to pull off a 7 hour drive with a 48 hour turnaround. No problem, right? I think it's worth the challenge.

    Pe construction CBT exam

It depends on the topic. I used the Construction Depth Six Minute Solutions to prepare. Depth problems were pretty close to the exam in terms of difficulty.

I passed Pe construction CBT from the first time

Your story sounds like mine. Thought I'd never need the EIT, and never imagined being in an executive role in engineering. Most of my career was geared toward Program Management, but here we are. Thank goodness for MD's experience option.

    CBT PE exam result

I didn't take a CBT, but I studied for and took P+P. You have to understand the topic/subject well enough where you can create your own scenario/example with your own numbers to answer the question. I also drew out the question. If you understand what's being asked and you understand the notes...
