Does anyone understand the solution to this problem? The solution ignores the given pitch value and calculates the thread lead based on the thread angle and mean diameter.  Based on my understanding (and Shigley's), the thread lead should be equal to 3x the pitch because it is a triple-start...

For 510, try taking a section through the centerline of the entire mechanism then doing a moment balance about the pivot point. I am also confused by the solution given for 533. I do not agree with their result.
