Is anyone a member of any professional societies? I am a PE in NYS and I am looking to join some. I was looking into NSPE and IEEE. Are either of these worth it? Do you recommend any other groups?

I have a 125VDC battery source and connected to that is a PLC panel.  Within the PLC panel is a 24VDC power supply for all internal components.  If they internal current consumption of all equipment within the PLC cabinet is 0.5983, how do I find the current consumption on the 125VDC side?

So, I just recently passed my Electrical Power PE exam this past April, and I still have not received a raise yet.  Is this unusual? Am I wrong for expecting a raise and should I be asking for one?  My friends and family close to me keep telling me I should approach my boss about it but I feel...

I received my number late last week and got the certificate in the mail on Saturday.  Definitely feels official now!

Will they e-mail you or do we just have to keep searching until we see our name?  I'm assuming they send a certificate as well?

So basically the Camara book not only gave the wrong answer, but provided four incorrect choices as well... No wonder we were all confused

Why is Vnew 11?  Shouldn't it be 33 to match the voltage base of the of the transformer and line?

I just noticed if I don't use the generator in the MVA method, I get the same answer as my PU method answer, which is an answer of 882.  I'm totally confused now.  I'm still not sure whether the answer is 882 or 800.6 though.  The answer can't be 1030 though.

I'm getting 882 with the PU method and 800.6 with the MVA method.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong to get different answers.  Can someone post their work for the PU method?

What is the best way to carry all your reference books into the exam?  I was thinking I would use an airplane carry-on suitcase but wasn't sure if that is allowed.  I also thought of throwing everything in a milk crate but that might get heavy.

I took the GA Tech course and thought it was extremely helpful.  The teacher along with the binder of notes has really helped me along.

What have you focused on in the Wildi book?  I have skimmed through some of the chapters other members have pointed out and highlighted some key aspects, but I haven't really been able to develop a good study habit with it. Are the problems at the end of each chapter beneficial?
