I agree. Generator contribution should be considered. This problem is similar to the last problem in NCEES practice test, example 540 except that problem does not consider line impedance. 

I don't think so....actually I am writing the exam for the first time this April so cant say much.  

I have tabbed all the sections with frequently asked questions in NEC handbook, usually I do fine with any numerical problems regarding NEC but I do struggle when it comes to theory questions on random topics. I am taking PE in April too. I have ordered Wildi book for this. Even I got all of them wrong. When I went through the index of Wildi I saw most the power electronics stuff that we might need. Wait for some one experienced from this forum to reply though.

I have a question from NCEES power practice exam.  Q110. In a 3 phase 4 wire system loads are connected to phase B and C only. Phase-Phase voltage is 13.2kV, Load is 500kVA at 0.85 lagging PF. What is the magnitude of the line current in Phase C? Solution is 500/13.2=37.9A My question is why...
